About Us.
Klein safari is a Kenyan family owned Tour Company established in 2000, our offices are located in Kenya House 2nd floor Suite 28 in Koinange Street.
The directors are Martin Maingi and Irene Nderitu both born and brought up in Kenya. Both have a past experience of 8 and 11 yrs working with other tour companies while employed before setting to start their own company.

Our scope is limited to the areas hat we know best. The major principle is to work with each client in personalized way discussing your interest, style of travel, budget, time frame and any other factor that would influence your trip our safaris offer the best value for your money.
Transportation
We have a wide range of vehicle to chose from i.e. 7 seater custom safari minibuses, 4x4 landcruiser/landrovers all with fitted with H/F long range radio for easy communication, cool boxes, first aid kits as well as guide books on wildlife, birds and plants of E. Africa.
Our driver/guides
The joy and success of your safari largely depends with the driver/guides. They are the one with whom you will spend most of your time with and it is because of this that we take time to select the driver/guides who are well trained and experienced and has a vast knowledge of the East Africa n people culture, wildlife and animals behaviors as well as the local flora and fauna. Our driver/guides speak English but on request you can have Spanish or French speaking at an extra cost.
Departures
For convenience to our client all our safaris depart daily with a minimum of 2 persons booking it is our concern to allow our itineraries/safaris to fit into your schedule. Our prices are based on 2 person and will go down with more participants always provide us with the exact number for the trip or any other information during your first enquiry for us to be able to work out an appropriate quotation.
Briefs
At the start of you safari one of our director of tour consultants will take time to meet you preferably at our office (when ever possible) to take you through the safari program, provide background information and materials. You will also have the time to discuss the dos and don’ts or any last minute question that you could have, which could be answered at that time.
Accommodation
It largely depends on your budget, there are several (see our itineraries) ranging from the basic adventurous camping, luxury tented camps, 5 star hotel and lodges. At what ever level we are able to come up with a solution and provide the very best for or guest.
Incase of Emergency.
Though we recommend it necessary for all travels to have Travel and medical insurance we are able to provide free services of evacuation to a reputable hospital through the flying doctors society of Africa.

Payment
Due to the new terms and conditions now applied by hotels and lodges, our new terms of payment are 25% deposit to confirm a safari and the balance (75%) must be received 45 days prior to arrival/commencement of safari.
In cases where the bookings are made less then 45 days before the commencement of the tour, full payment must be made on booking.
The company reserves the right to cancel the booking if payment is not received in accordance with these terms.
All payments by wire transfer to our bank account (details to be provided accordingly). Payment by card is also acceptable (Visa, Mastercard, JCB & American Express) but attracts a 5% surcharge. Details of how to pay by card will also be provided accordingly.
Cancellation
In the event of a cancellation, cancellation fees shall be applied as follows:
- Within the period of 13 to 55 days before commencement of the safari, a fee of 25% of the total cost of the safari shall apply.
- Within the period of 12 to 8 days before commencement of the safari, a fee of 50% shall apply.
- Within 7 to 0 days before the commencement of the safari, a fee of 100% of the total cost of the safari
We reserve the right to cancel a safari in which case a full and immediate refund of all payments received will be made.
Alterations
We reserve the right to alter arrangements of the route or to cancel the operation of a scheduled safari should conditions necessitate. We also reserve the right to decline to accept or retain any person as a member of any safari at any time, in which event an equitable amount will be refunded.
Liability
Travel poses risks. You are therefore advised to take adequate insurance cover as we accept no responsibility for any personal illness, injury, delays loss or damages from any cause whatsoever. We and our agents act only as agents of the passenger in all matters relating to safaris. The appropriate law of the country dictates our liability to passengers.
